MONDAY: Financial Peace University 7:00-8:30PM

We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

Location: Camden Grandview, 309 E. Morehead Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28202

TUESDAY: Prayer and Fasting 7:00AM-7:00PM

We started the journey to planting our church if February 2016 with 100 days of prayer.  The last 40 days we raised the intensity by including fasting along with our prayer.  We seek the fullness of God’s anointing to empower us as we prepare to launch a church for this season.  We invite you to pray with us for a different church, leader, business, school, and you, of course, every week.  Send your prayer request HERE or go to http://empoweredliving.church/connect/prayer-request/

TUESDAY: Tuesday Morning Breakfast Forum 8:30-10:00AM

The Forum shares with all present “information of importance to the African American community in particular and the rest of Charlotte in general.”  As guests, we come in, have a cup of coffee and make ourselves comfortable. Among those in attendance on any given day will be wage earners and business owners; civic activists and nonprofit executives; and a variety elected officials—judges and members of Charlotte City Council, the county commission, school board and state legislature.

Location: Belmont Regional Center, 700 Parkwood Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205

WEDNESDAY: Courtside Ministry 8:30-10:30AM

We partner with Courtside Ministries to enable people working in or going in and out of courthouses to experience the love, grace and power of Jesus Christ by inviting His presence through prayer. We desire to see people encouraged through hope, strengthened through prayer, guided by the Bible, helped by the community, reconciled to each other, and forgiven through Christ.  Courtside Ministries has prayed for more than 100,000 people and referred more than 9,600 to churches and faith-based organizations.

Location: Mecklenburg County Courthouse, 832 E 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202

WEDNESDAY: West Charlotte Church Collaborative 12:00-1:00PM

This is a multi-church collaborative effort for the purpose for joining Jesus in His movement of making all things new in West Charlotte.  Every week we gather with pastors and churches from the West Charlotte area for prayer.  For one hour pastors from varied denominations and traditions unite in prayer.  One Sunday a month these same churches worship in a different location in an effort to advance God’s Kingdom on earth.

Location: Warehouse 242, 2307 Wilkinson Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28208

THURSDAY: Coffee with the Pastor 8:00-10:00AM

Pastor Barrett wants to get to know you and for you to get to know him.  Spend 15 minutes or two hours with him discussing the latest current affairs, how to grow your business, or share ideas of where to take your spouses out for couples’ date night.  Check Barrett’s social media to find out where he will meet you this Thursday.  And, he treats for the coffee.

FRIDAY: Couples' Date Night Time:TBD

ELC believes that a healthy marriage is the cornerstone to building a strong family, developing successful children, and living an empowered life.  Marriage is one of life’s most essential relationships, requiring intentional measures to safeguard and keep it healthy.  We encourage couples’ (married and dating) to reserve one night a week for a planned date night.

“Insofar as date nights allow couples to focus on their relationship, to share feelings, to engage in romantic activities with one another, and to try new things, date nights may strengthen or rekindle that romantic spark that can be helpful in sustaining the fires of love over the long haul.”
